Frequent themes that I work with

Therapy is a very personal experience and needs to be supported with great kindness and understanding. It’s your time and you are important.  I will fully respect you as a person, whatever your background, uniqueness, and interests and support you to feel at ease, bringing into our conversation’s appropriate curiosity, engagement, and sensitivity. I offer the attention for you to feel heard and understood at a deep level, asking timely facilitative questions and offering feedback as needed or requested by you. It’s also important for you to feel in control of the progress of the sessions, such as by reviewing and discussing how our work is going. I support the development of your own self-help skills, and place particular value in practices that help you to live more fully in the present moment, such as through meditation.
